First Snow of the Season

This last week we had gorgeous weather. I was even wearing my flip flops! But all good things come to an end I guess... Today we got a ton of snow dumped on us. It was SO pretty to wake up to and the trees looked amazing! The kids were so excited too! So after a quick trip to Target, the kids were decked out to go play in the snow.

Highlights and Lowlights

I know it has been several months since our last update... So I wanted to at least share some of the things we did.

This year we planted our first garden and it was a huge success! I had tomatoes coming out of my ears! Dane had a mohawk all summer and was super cute!
Camryn turned 3 years old!

We installed our very own pool in the backyard!

Camryn had surgery. She had been having sleeping problems due to hear tonsils and adenoids and so she had to have them removed. Since surgery though we have all been sleeping better and are happier for some reason.

Camryn has turned into an artist!

My children are serious monkeys. Especially Dane. His acrobatic adventures have resulted in...

... him breaking his collar bone. I felt terrible for the little guy. He hasn't let it slow him down though. He is still climbing on anything he possibly can.

So those are just a couple random highlights and lowlights since our last post.

Oh Time, where do you go?

I feel like no matter what I do, time just seems to fly by. My kids are getting so big and growing up to fast! All of these pictures in this post have been taken by my camera on my phone because my kids just move to fast for me to have time to take out my real camera!

My dad has been staying with us since December, and it has been such a blessing for us! Camryn and Dane just LOVE having grandpa around! It has been really great to have them develop such a close relationship with him. And now in a couple of weeks my mom will be moving out too! I am excited for this special time the kids get to have with their grandparents!
Dane has turned into such a little boy! It seems like all the "baby" is gone. He is so fast, a fearless climber, a great sister copier, and a sweetie!

Camryn continues to crack me up everyday! This is the outfit that she chose to wear to Target (her favorite store). She comes up with funny little songs and dances and can be so girlie one minute but then she gets obsessions with Iron Man, robots, Buzz Lightyear and Emperor Zurg.

We have been blessed with some GREAT weather! So we've been taking advantage it by grilling and going to the park!

Then I just had to share what we do at Target several times a week. Go and look at the toys at Target. It seems to never get old to the kids. As long as there are buttons to push they will be perfectly happy.

Its been a great couple months!

Happy Birthday Dane!

My baby boy is a year old already. How does that happen?

Dane had a great birthday! Grandpa Romeril is currently living with us, so he was here for Dane's birthday. And then we were able to have Grandma and Grandpa Goodwin with us via webcam. So we just did cupcakes for Dane's birthday. And I think he had fun with it. He didn't really eat it, but he sure loved to play with the frosting! It was all over his hands!

I love my little boy SO MUCH!!! He brings such a sweet spirit into our home. He is doing so much too! He is a house ape and has to climb on everything. He has been walking for several months and tries to run and jump. (Its pretty cute and funny!) He can say "wow", "uh-oh", and "ball". And Dane loves his big sister! He tries to copy everything she does. Even when Camryn has pushed Dane over or taken a toy from him, he continues to follow her around. Dane is my little man and my sweetness. I sure love you Dane!

Couple Things...

I just had a couple random things I wanted to share. Here is a picture of Dane, Paul, Paul's brother David, and nephew Alexander, doing what Goodwin guys do. Playing video games!
Dane and Camryn helping me with the laundry like usual. Actually it was mostly Camryn just trying to bury Dane in the laundry.

Oh, and one more thing. Dane is totally walking!!! All over the place! He really took off walking the week before Christmas. Walking at 10 months old, just like Camryn did.

Christmas 2009

We had a really great Christmas this year! We were able to go out to Ohio to visit with Paul's family for over a week. It was really great to see everyone, hang out, eat food, play games, and have a really fun time! We were even able to bring Max with us too! (We somehow managed to fit two car seats and a 90 lb dog in the back seat of our sedan...) But anyway, it all worked out and was totally worth it!
The kids had a great time Christmas morning! They loved their presents and loved playing with them the rest of the morning! It was a great day until the afternoon when Camryn had had WAY too much chocolate, excitement, and not enough sleep... it was a little scary. But what a wonderful Christmas day it was!

I Don't Know Where The Time Goes

I just saw that it has been about 5 weeks since I posted on my blog! I really just don't know where the time goes. Its almost Christmas! Dane and Camryn have grown so much. They are becoming pretty good buddies. Sometimes they can play so nice together and then... well one of them ends up crying. But they still have fun together!
Dane is moving all over the place! He is SO FAST too! I tried taking this picture of Camryn and Dane sitting so nice together and as you can see he was just about all the way over to me before I could take it!

Dane is a great eater too! I had to include both these pictures. He is just SO CUTE!

Happy Halloween!

We had a pretty awesome Halloween up here in Minnesota. We had Halloween parties and Camryn went trick'or'treating for the first time. She loved everything about Halloween except the pumpkins. Once again Camryn is still afraid of pumpkins. Zombies, monsters, ghosts, etc. are nothing to Camryn. But pumpkins... yikes! Here is Camryn and her little pal Lucy at our ward party. They were so cute running around and having fun! Lucy (like Camryn) had to help with her make-up. So cute!
Camryn was a zombie for Halloween. Easiest costume ever! But I think it turned out really well.

And my sweet baby Dane was a skeleton! Poor guy has impetigo on his face though. It looks awful but he is his usual happy self!

Anyway, I hope everyone had a great Halloween!

The Wiggles Concert!

This last Saturday we all got to go and see The Wiggles in concert! (I know, you are all jealous!) But we all actually had a great time!
We were up in the balcony, but could actually see really well. Camryn jumped, danced, laughed, screamed, and had a great time all round.

The best part was when Murray (the red wiggle) came up into the balcony to say hi to all the kids! Camryn's face lit up like you wouldn't believe! It was like- "It really is him! There he is!!!!" The smile on her face made the whole thing worth it.

There were a few moments when Camryn didn't want to stay by her seat and had a little fit... but she got over it.

Dane actually had a fun time too! He watched a good part of the show and the rest he smiled a squealed at all the people around us.

Maybe we will have to go again next time they come to town!

Camryn picked out what she wanted to wear today. While she was still in her pajamas, she brought me her silver boots and wanted them on. So I put them on. Then she ran and brought me her dress and insisted on wearing it too (over her pajamas). Don't you like her accessories too? Princess dolls and pacifier. The things she is never without. She is a funny girl.

My parents came out for a visit and we had a great time! We hung out, ate, and went to thestate fair! It was great! I promise that my kids do like my parents! I just thought this picture was funny!

Here is a couple of pictures from the past couple weeks.

One morning we were all just hanging out in the living room just after breakfast and before we knew it, Dane was back asleep! I guess he had woken up to early. Of course Camryn has to be involved with everything.
Since Dane wasborn he has had blocked tear ducts. One of them has cleared up, but he still has one giving him some trouble. Sometimes when he wakes up, his poor eye is stuck shut. I call him my One Eyed Jack.

When Paul and I were putting Dane to bed, we saw Camryn looking all sweet as she was sleeping. So cute!

Camryn has recently gotten into dress-ups. She LOVES to put on her dresses and put on my shoes. So Grandma Goodwin sent Camryn some dress-up stuff for her birthday.

I think it is so fun to watch her get all dressed up and dance around!

Grandma Goodwin also sent a stamp set. Camryn had a lot of fun with it... until I caught her trying to eat the ink.

It is always an adventure around here!

Dane is 6 Months Old!

I am a little behind in my posting... Dane has been 6 months since the 4th. He is still my angel baby! SO happy!!! He is a good eater, loves his family, is ticklish, has two teeth, growls A LOT, rolls over all over, and is a great smiler! He weighs 16 1/2 lbs and is 26 1/2 in. long. We have started with veggies and the first we tried was peas. I thought I would get a great reaction from from him, but instead he just grinned and gobbled them up!

Dane has been doing rice cereal for a while now, but I'm just finally getting around to posting about it. He did really well his first time. I think he was SO ready for it. Camryn was very interested in what was going on too. She wanted to help so bad! She is such a good helper and is always trying to help.

In a couple of weeks we will be ready for veggies! Hooray!

Camryn is 2 years old! Holy cow!

Camryn was lucky and got to celebrate her birthday twice this year! We did it the first time when we were visiting out in Utah. Let me just preface these pictures with an explanation. We celebrated the 4th a couple days earlier and Camryn had a terrible experience. She was having a great time until she picked up a sparkler that had already been used and she burnt her fingers. After that she didn't want to have anything to do with fire, fireworks, anything like that. So when we went to get her cake/cupcakes ready she was very pleased and happy until...
Until she saw the fire....

She SCREAMED and literally tried to climb up me to get as far away from it as possible!

I had to blow out her candles since she had a death grip on me and wouldn't go near them.

After we blew the candles out and I pulled her hands off of me, she ran away to the other room and wouldn't even look at the cupcakes until we took everything off of them. Once she had her cupcake and saw all traces of fire were gone, then she was happy again.

So when we went to celebrate her birthday back home, we decided that we wouldn't do candles.

She had a much better time this time!

We were even lucky enough to get Grandma Goodwin on the webcam with us! It was really cool to be able to include her in our celebration with her being so far away.

UTAH TRIP!

I have so many pictures and we did so much stuff I don't even know where to begin!

Camryn, Dane and I decided to make a trip out to Utah this summer while Paul was going to be super busy with work. So we were lucky enough to be in Utah for about 2 1/2 weeks! It was AWESOME! (I just want to give a shout out to Matt for getting us buddy passes and to my mom for being awesome and helping me with the kids on the plane ride!) I don't have pictures of all the stuff we did, and but out of the million pictures I did take I'll have to just pick the best I guess.

One of the first things we did was go to a petting zoo at Thanksgiving Point. Camryn LOVED it! She is so brave. One of her most favorite things though was the pony ride. She freaked out when she couldn't do it anymore.

Another place we went was a "lake" in Salem. It was such a cool place! Cammie and Tim took me and the kids, and mom and dad. They had nice sandy place you could swim at, feed duck, picnic area, etc. It was just beautiful! Once again, Camryn LOVED feeding the animals. I think she fed them 2/3 of the loaf of bread herself!

There were a couple of puddles around and Camryn and Jane had a blast jumping in them! They got soaked!

Dane was just chill hanging out as usual! I think he liked being outside at the park too!

One of the days we were there, we got together with Cammie, Brittney Nelson, and Kalli Barker. It was the old group together again! Here are the three little girls: Mackay, Jane, and Camryn. It was so cool to hang out and chat again!

This day Jane was having a rough time, so Cammie put her on the couch with her blanket to calm down. Then Camryn saw her and she must have thought it looked like a good idea, so she had to copy Jane.

Camryn LOVED doing her hair in the morning with Grandma! She even imitates Grandma doing her hairspray!

Camryn my "vegetarian" (for the most part doesn't eat meat) surprised us all when she decided that she wanted to try the pink part of Brittney's steak. We were even more surprised when she loved it and couldn't get enough!

Once again Dad relaxing with the kids. (well... trying to anyway.)

Camryn has a new found love of popsicles!

My mom had a great idea of having the kids all have coordinating outfits and taking pictures. The kids were SO CUTE but the picture taking part was a little tricky... It was fun though, and I have to say the kids look pretty great!

Camryn loves, loves, LOVES her dress! If she sees it, she has to put it on and then immediately begins swishing and twirling in it.

Anyway, we had just a great time hanging out with family and friends! I am so glad that we were able to spend so much time out there and not feel to rushed. Thanks to everyone for having us and we love you! (And a special thanks to mom and dad for housing us and putting up with us for so long!)

5 Months Old!

Dane just turned 5 months a couple days ago! He is getting to be such a big boy! He has become very alert, aware, strong, and squirmy. The dog and Camryn keep him entertained most of the day as he loves to watch them run around. I think he is going to be rolling over very soon too. One of Dane's favorite things to do is stand. He has such strong legs that I think he will be an early walker like Camryn.

Dane: 4 Months Old!!!

My baby boy is 4 months old already! As always, where does the time go! He had his doctor appointment today and received a clean bill of health. At Dane's newborn screening and at his 2 month appointment they tested Dane's hearing. Both times he failed it. But today he passed! So we are very pleased about that! He weighs 14 lbs 1.5 oz and is 24 1/2 in. 50th percentile for weight and 25th for height. He loves to play with his toys and watch his sister. He is such a sweet and good boy! He is my angel baby! He sleeps about 9 hours at night (which I am so grateful for!) but he is still in his bassinet in our room... We are working on the process of getting Camryn into a big girl bed so that Dane can sleep in the crib. We are getting there! Anyway, I'm so happy that Dane is a part of our family! Love you Dane!

Grandparent Visit, Zoo, Anniversary...

...Wow we've been busy the last couple of weeks! It seems like it has flown by! Where did April go? So we were lucky enough to have my parents come out for a visit last week! It was awesome to have them here! I know the kids loved it and I certainly did! Paul was gone on business to Chicago for most of their visit, so I certainly appreciated their company and help. Paul and I also had our 5 year anniversary on Friday the 24th! Mom and Dad stayed to babysit the kids and Paul and I got to go to a Ten Tenors concert! It was AWESOME!!! We saw them when we were first married out in Rexburg and loved them then. So when I found our they were coming here and preforming on the night of our anniversary I knew that we had to go. And we were not disapointed! They put on such an fun and amazing show! If you get the chance you should DEFINITLY check them out! You won't be disapointed!

So as I was looking through my pictures for this post, I realized I didn't take very many while my parents were here... So, here are some of the best from the last couple weeks. Camryn was CRAZY at the zoo. She had so much fun and was all over the place. I think my parents were worn out by the end of the day... especially dad! Camryn thinks he is the greatest thing since sliced bread pretty much.
Camryn's favorite part of the zoo by far was the sheep at the farm exhibit. She was NOT afraid of them at all!!! She tried to stick her fingers in all of their mouths, pet them, scratch them, pull their ears off and grab the fur on their behinds. It was hilarious to watch! She also kept making the same sound the whole time...I'm not sure what it was all about.

Camryn is big time into immitating. Here is Dane being his normal chill self getting, some tummy time, and Camryn needing to be apart of the action.

So since Paul was away on business in Chicago, he brought home a present for Camryn... a HUGE jawbreaker sucker. Just what she needs! She was very pleased anyway.

Dane is my angel baby. He is amazing! He is just so relaxed and chill (for the most part anyway, we all have our moments). I honestly can't believe how fast he is growing! I'm thinking he is going to be really tall or I guess I should say taller than his parents. I also think that he might have red hair! I'm excited to see!

Camryn just LOVES Max. She chases him, steps on him like a stool, hugs him, gives him "love pats" on his head and face, feeds him (I think she feels like he always needs a bite of what she's eating), and mostly she loves to sit by him while she plays. Camryn is really into coloring right now. So of course she wanted to share the experience with Max.
Here is a "love pat". Poor Max... She did give him a hug though!

My crazy cute Camryn... what a girl! She can be amazingly cute and sweet, then turn around and be a serious handful. You will see from the pictures below.Camryn has turned into quite the climber. Today was Dane's blessing! It was really beautiful and Paul did a fantastic job! It is such a blessing to have the gospel in our lives. It was also a great blessing to be able to have both mine and Paul's parents with us this weekend. We had a great time visiting with them and I think Camryn had an even greater time with them! She does get a little frustrated when I can't come and do whatever she wants when I'm nursing Dane, but other than that she seems to quite like Dane. It is pretty cute to watch her try to imitate me and help me with taking care of Dane. My favorite is her trying to help burp him. Camryn is really turning into a little girl. It is crazy to me. I love that her vocabulary is growing and we can somewhat communicate. Most of her words that she can say are kinda odd ones though. One that I think is the funniest is that she doesn't use Dad, but rather she calls Paul by his name. I guess I need to refer to him as Dad all the time. Anyway, I'm super thankful to have such a cutie for a daughter! Here are some pictures of her silliness!

So Far So Good!

So far Dane has been such a good baby! I just hope that it continues to be so. He sure has made this first bit easy! I have to brag a bit about him. He eats really well, he sleeps really well, and he doesn't really cry. What more could I ask for? I love this little guy! The more I look at him, the more I can see Camryn. He does has a different nose and chin than Camryn, but I can definitely see some similarities. Anyway, I just wanted to post some more pictures of my little man!

Ok. So February 4th was kind of a long day. I woke up around 5 am with contractions about 10 mins. apart. I was so happy that labor was actually starting! Then I woke up Paul around 6 am when Camryn woke up so that I could get in the shower. By this point my contractions were coming about every 5 mins! I thought that this time labor was going to be quick, but I was so wrong! After about 45 mins of contractions coming every 5 mins they went back to every 10 mins. Then they kept coming every 10 mins... all day... until I finally needed something different to happen and I called my midwife at 4:30. All day my contractions were getting more intense and I was really feeling them in my back and even the tops of my legs, but they just weren't getting closer together! (very frustrating) Anyway, so I went into the clinic and my midwife said that I was at about 5 cm and I could go into the hospital if I was ready to. Yes. Yes, I was VERY ready! At this point I was so exhausted that I decided if I was going to have any energy to push I was going to need some rest and relief, so I decided to go ahead and get an epidural. I was very happy that I did! I got the epidural around 7 pm and I was finally able to sleep a little. Then by about 10 pm I was all ready to push! Dane did get a little stuck as he was facing the wrong way, but once he flipped into place he came right on out! Dane was born at 11:02 pm at 8 lbs 8 oz and 20.5 in. Everyone was shocked at how big he was! We were all expecting a baby about the same size as Camryn, but Dane came at least a pound and a half bigger than we thought. Here he is! Brand New!

So far Dane has shown to be a very chill baby. It isn't hard for him to relax at all!

Here he is back at home! We are all so glad to be back home and to have our little family together! Camryn doesn't seem very interested in Dane yet, as she just looks at him and then goes and does something else. But she does get a great smile on her face when she does look at him! I feel so blessed to have two beautiful, healthy, happy children. I love them SO MUCH!!! It is going to be crazy at our house for the next little bit, but I gladly welcome the changes and our new little man! Welcome home Dane! We love you!

Camryn is so silly. She is always doing something to make me laugh. Particularly tonight for instance. We had just gotten home and Camryn ran over to the TV and started saying, "Wiggles, wiggles, wiggles." So I turned on The Wiggles, her favorite show, for her so that I could get dinner together. When I peeked out of the kitchen to she how she was doing, I found that she had pulled her beanbag chair over to the TV to sit on. I had to laugh at how close she was! (I'm sorry about how much the pictures suck... I wanted to get a picture quick before she moved, so I just used my cell phone.)She is so funny! I laugh at her and with her all day long! Just yesterday my baby turned 18 months old. I can't believe how fast the time goes. She was just a baby! Now she is a hilarious toddler. I love her so much and I can't imagine life without her. As we get ready to welcome a new baby into our home, I can't help but wonder what our new life will be like. I am super excited and terrified at the same time. But overall I'm definitely looking forward to it! Just one month to go!

I Love You Grandma

My Grandma Romeril passed away this last Sunday. She had poor health for quite a while and she passed in her sleep at the hospital. She was 95 years old. We are all very sad to see her go, but I think over all it was a good thing. Now she is with her family and I'm sure enjoying a great reunion with them! I sure love you Grandma! Camryn LOVES her daddy! She really does think he is the greatest! Paul can always get her to smile and laugh no matter what. Camryn is always so excited to see Paul whether he is coming home from work, or even just coming back upstairs after being gone for 5 minutes! One of the first things Camryn learned to say was "Hi Daddy" and it is still probably one of the things she says the most. (A close second is "Doggy") The picture below is of Paul taking a nap and Camryn taking advantage of the situation. She saw that Paul was asleep and decided that she needed to watch TV with him. So she climbed up on top of him and plopped herself down and then proceeded to watch the TV. I thought it was so cute! After she sat there for a good 15 minutes she leaned over and gave Paul a kiss (more like a head butt) and then got down to go play. She is so funny sometimes! The next picture I LOVE! The little castle was an early Christmas present from Grandma Goodwin. Camryn LOVES to hang out in it. But what she likes more is when there is somebody inside to enjoy it with her. Camryn and Paul are such good buddies!

We recently were lucky enough to have a visit from Paul's mom Debra! We had such a great time hanging out with her! I think Camryn especially liked having Grandma around. She got to play, chatter, and eat treats with her all week! Debra even brought Christmas a little early with her. Wow!!! I've done 100 posts! Kinda crazy. Anyway.

Today was a busy day! I needed to do some serious cleaning and Camryn was a super busy body today too. So when we went out to do some errands, I decided it was time to bust out Camryn's winter coat. She is SO CUTE!!! She can barely put her arms down and it reminds me of the movie A Christmas Story. She was pretty pleased about it though. I'm pretty sure she liked it! Today I also got to see TWILIGHT!!! I thought that they did a really good job! In fact, if anyone wants to go see it (or see it again) I would love to go see it again!

Also, I was "tagged" today as well! By being "tagged" I answer some questions (which I'll do) and then at the end I tag others to do the same thing. It is a fun way of getting to know people.

Ninjas and Pumpkins...

Ninjas and pumpkins don't mix. Camryn is a little girl not easily scared... but that all changed when she was faced with the pumpkin that I carved for Halloween. I guess I made it to scary this year. More on that to come. Anyway, as I posted before Camryn was a ninja for Halloween! Paul and Camryn loved running around the house yelling and posing like ninjas. It was pretty cute and funny! I tried to get some good pictures to show her costume.

So here is the tragedy photos and video. Camryn looked at the pumpkin for a minute and decided that she did not like it at all!!! She didn't want to go near it! Paul and I both tried to show her that it was ok and that it wasn't going to hurt her. We patted it, poked it, even picked it up and gave it hugs, but Camryn was not convinced.

This is her running away from it. It was pretty traumatic I guess.

This video is kinda long, but I had to include it. We tried! I guess ninjas and pumpkins just don't mix.

Busy Last Couple Days

We have had a busy last couple of days here at the Goodwin residence. My parents were able to come for a nice visit and we stayed pretty busy! We played games, went shopping, ate, but mostly just had fun and enjoyed each others company. Camryn sure loved seeing her grandma and grandpa! I think she thought they were pretty fun to play with! On Saturday, we drove up to Stillwater, MN and made a little day trip out of it. The weather was gorgeous and I don't think could've picked a better day out of the week to go! Camryn got a little spoiled too. Her daddy let her try a couple different kinds of candy and she even got her own sucker! She was very pleased to say the least! We also let her try pop rocks... She actually really liked those too! (She is definitely my daughter!) Saturday night was our ward Halloween party! I always look forward to this party! I love to see all the costumes of the kids. This year Camryn is a ninja for Halloween! She is so funny and cute in her little ninja outfit! (Hopefully I will have better photos later on this week.)
Anyways, we just had such a great time visiting with mom and dad! It was so good to see them and to just relax and have fun with them. We just want to say thank you for all the things you've done for us and we love you very much!!! We are going to miss you but we know we will see you soon!

Last Weekend

Last weekend my bestest buddy Brittney and her husband Ryan came out for a quick visit! It was so good to see Brittney and to hang out with the two of them. We played a bunch of games, ate some good food, laughed, told stories, and we even went to the sculpture gardens in Minneapolis. (I just wanted to say to Brittney that I am so glad that you were able to come out for a visit and we really enjoyed spending the weekend with you guys! I hope we can do it again soon!!! I love you Brittney!)

Now, I am very upset with myself that I didn't get a picture of Brittney and I (once again!!!) But I did get a family picture in front of the cherry spoon bridge sculpture that I love! While we were at the gardens, we saw a little chipmunk that was not to scared of people. Paul was able to entice him to come close with Camryn's crackers, and Camryn LOVED it! She thought it was the greatest! She would point at it, look up, and chatter on trying to tell you all about it. It was pretty cute and funny!
Lastly, here is a random picture of Camryn having a great time at dinner. Paul was feeding her, and I think Camryn was showing him just how messy she can get. She sure didn't care how gross it was!

Camryn and I went with Lisa and Will to French Park today. It was so gorgeous outside!!! It was the perfect day for a walk and the kids seemed to really enjoy themselves. The leaves were so pretty we had to stop for a photo shoot.

Just Like Daddy

Camryn wanted to be just like her daddy today. It was pretty cute how into it she was. She kept looking up at Paul to make sure she was doing it right. She actually sat there and watched for quite a long time too!

Camryn also had a run in with the fireplace today. Her poor little eye!

Update: When Camryn went for her nap she did not want to let go of the controller AT ALL. So I gave in and let her take it to bed with her. After she fell asleep I snuck into her room and took a picture with the camera on my cell phone. It would seem that she didn't want to give it up even in sleep.

New Favorite Chairs

The last couple of weeks, I've been watching little Ella for Lindsay Stark. So I thought it would be a great idea to bring out Camryn's baby chairs for Ella to sit in. Well, Camryn thought that this was a great idea too! They are now her favorite chairs to sit in! The first two pictures of Camryn relaxing with an apple slice and watching some TV. I did not set her up like this. I think she really just enjoys sitting in the chair. It is pretty funny to watch.Also note Camryn's super nice outfit. A onesie and slippers.

The next two pictures are just Camryn being silly playing in the little swing chair. She even gets me to turn on the lights and music for her. Who knew these chairs would be just as entertaining the second time around.

We are also happy to say that everything looked really great on the ultrasound and we are happy to be having a wonderful baby boy! Now we are just onto the hard part... picking names! Long Time No Post

Well...it has been a while. I know! I've just been super busy! Since my last post I feel like a lot has gone on, but now that I try to recall what exactly we've been up to... I can't remember. (I'm blaming it on pregnancy) We went to the fair, we went out to Ohio for Paul's 10 year reunion, Paul has been doing major work on the basement, and since September 1st I've been done nannying. I know there is other stuff, but I just can't remember. We also have some exciting things coming up! Tomorrow we get to find out what we are having at our ultrasound appointment, so we are super excited about that!!! And Paul is getting ready to start a new job! We are thrilled with all the change that is going on and are ready to take on the next adventure!

On a side note, Camryn and I had a great time at Super Target this morning. Camryn was very pleased that I would let her have a snack in the cart! She was so cute holding it on her own and taking a puff out one at a time.

But... after about 15 minutes of her being so good and cute, Camryn waited till I turned around and then dumped the entire container out in her lap and all over the middle of the aisle. It was a great moment. Needless to say, I was a little bit embarrassed. Oh the joys of a one year old. You can't help but love them!

Minnesota Beach

So the other day Camryn and I and couple of our friends all decided to go to the beach! Well, as close to a beach as you can get in Minnesota I guess. There are lakes EVERYWHERE. (That is why they call it the land of 10,000 lakes.) But as much fun as playing on the lake is, you don't really want to wade along the shore. To much seaweed and green guck. So that is why I'm assuming someone came up with the idea to make a man-made pond with chlorinated/filtered water and complete it with sand! I much appreciate the genius behind this idea! We had SO MUCH FUN!!! Camryn had a blast splashing and wading in the water. At first she didn't like the sand on her feet, but before you knew it she was sitting and playing in it. What a great time we had!
Camryn was pretty brave and went right out exploring in the water all the way up to her chest! (please excuse the blinding white legs in the picture!)

It was a lot of fun to see the kids together. Quinn on the left is 8 months( I think...am I right Erin?) Camryn just about 13 months, and Will (the lone boy in this age bracket at our ward) is 10 months. I think it is funny because they are all pretty much the same size!

I was feeding all these little birdies crackers so they would sit still for pictures.

We had such a great time and we will definitely be going back many times! Thanks to Lisa for coming up with the great idea! It was great to hang out Erin and Lisa! Lets do it again soon!

TWILIGHT PARTY!!!

Some people might think we are a little crazy or obsessed, but I don't care. We had a blast! We had everyone dress in black and/or red and we played games, ate tasty food, and laughed a lot! Couple Things On My Mind...

So here I am....waiting. I have been DYING to finally get to finish the Twilight series and the final book comes out today as many of you know. I preordered my copy and I picked release date delivery. So here I am, waiting, and it is all I can think about today!

I know that everyone wanted me to make an official post about me being pregnant! So here is it! I'm 13 weeks and due on February 7th! Also, I have been more sick this time around (still no throwing up though!) But I think I am pretty much done with the sick part. Thank goodness! Also, Camryn and this baby will be pretty close, they will be about 19 months apart. I think that will be tricky at first, but in the long run, I think they will be great little buddies. Anyways, that is everything I think of. Paul and I are super excited!!!
And because I CARE about Doctor Who, I want to say that last nights series finale was intense, hilarious, incredibly sad, and WONDERFUL all at the same time. It was amazing! I'm sad that there won't be any new episodes for a while, but that is ok because I can just watch the old ones forever!

ONE YEAR OLD!!!

So my baby turned a year old today. It is so much fun, exciting, and unreal. I am a little sad that she is growing up, but she will always be my baby. I am so in love with my little girl and feel so incredibly blessed to that she is mine. I would do anything for her. She is so precious and so beautiful. I couldn't imagine life with out her.

So when we were out in Montana we had a little birthday celebration for Camryn and her cousin Chelsa that is 3 weeks older with all of my family. It was a lot of fun and really nice to celebrate with everyone. Camryn LOVED the icing and cupcake SO MUCH!!! It was hilarious! At first she just poked it. Then she got more and more into it until she had fistfuls and it was all over her and me!

As you can see, it was a big hit!

Then this past 4th of July weekend, Paul's parents Debra and Terry came out for a visit! It was so nice to spend time with them. They treated us to great times and great food!

We went out to eat for lunch today to say goodbye and to celebrate Camryn's birthday. Once again Camryn was treated to a cupcake and just like the last time, it was another big hit!

She finally got the idea to just use both hands. So much easier!

So we had a great day today and Camryn was her usual happy, smiley self. All I can say is that I love her with all my being and I am grateful for the time we have had and I can't wait for what is next. I hope you will all bare with me as I take a little trip through memories of the last year.

Echo Lake Montana 2008

So it has taken me over a week to post these pictures... I do have an excuse, a couple actually. But instead of going into all that, I'll say a little about our trip.

Camryn did amazingly well on both of the plane rides which I was very thankful for! And we really had a great time being with all my family! Even my Grandma and Grandpa Malmberg made it out for a visit! We had lots of fun playing in the water, napping, playing games, eating, and spending time together. The week was a blast! It was so nice to see all of the kids (except baby Charlie) play together! It was kinda funny because I think there was always somebody that was crying. Going To Montana!!!

I am so EXCITED!!! This Sunday we are going to my favorite place! We get to go to Echo Lake in Montana. My uncle has a cabin out there and has invited my family to go and have fun for a week! It is so gorgeous, peaceful, relaxing, and fun out there. I really just can't wait! We were last there the summer of 2006 and we were able to bring Max with us on that trip. I think he had just as much fun as we did. We aren't able to bring him this time around as we are flying and I feel really bad about it. I wish he could come too. But it is going to be fun to share this special place with Camryn. I am excited to see all of my siblings and there families all together also! I think this will be the first time we have ALL been together since our last trip out to the lake. Anyway, I just wanted to share some of my excitement and some pictures from last time!

Father's Day and Park Day

Today I think Camryn and I were successful in giving Paul and great first Father's Day. Camryn let Paul sleep in, we had presents, naps, a tasty dinner, and a nice time at the park. All in all a pretty great day I thought!

I just wanted to take a minute to thank Paul for being such a wonderful father! He is so great with Camryn! She just lights up when she sees her dad. I even think that Camryn is working extra hard to say dada first for him. Paul, you are fantastic at what you do! Working hard, taking care of us, making sure we are happy, and loving us. Paul you are a wonderful dad! Happy Father's Day!

11 Months OLD!!!

What can I say? I cannot believe in a month it will have been one whole year since Camryn was born. It is incredible to me how time flies! Especially when you are having fun! And that is exactly what we have been doing around here. Camryn is just so much fun! Walking, imitating, laughing, teething, sleeping in funny positions, and exploring! Camryn is just so curious about everything and wants to explore, touch, try out, and taste everything! It is pretty cool and fun, but also kinda scary. But anyway, I am looking forward to a birthday party, but I am enjoying Camryn one day at a time too!

In the last week or so we've had some crazy weather out here! Tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, extremely large hail, strong winds, etc. Tonight was another one of those nights and I was able to catch some video of the hail and get a picture too! Hopefully we don't get to much more of this craziness, but I have a feeling its not over quite yet.

Outside Fun!

Lately we have finally been having beautiful weather and so we have been able to get outside and enjoy it! We have a little walker for Camryn, and she LOVES to take off down the drive way... there is a video of that below. It is pretty fun! Also, I got Camryn a new hat. I think it is so cute on her! But she didn't like the brim down very much...
... I think she couldn't see very well.

But once I figured that out, she was good to go! Anyways, we are looking forward to more beautiful summer days!

Memorial Day Weekend

So, we had a pretty good long weekend. We got to spend some nice time together as a family. Also, Camryn and I got to do some shopping while Paul worked on the yard, and helped out some friends of ours. The picture below is from the shopping trip. Also, some fun stuff that happened this weekend was from watching Camryn trying to imitate things. First of all, during church she stopped everything she was doing to watch the conductor. After watching for a little bit, Camryn then started to wave her arm about just like she saw the conductor doing! It was so funny! She continued to do the same thing for all of the songs after that! Then also this weekend Camryn try to imitate her first word! I said "wow" after Camryn did something, and then for the next couple of minutes Camryn tried to say "wow" too! She got really close too! I'm going to try to get a video of her doing it. Anyways, I hope that everyone had a great weekend too!

WALKING!!!

Camryn started walking last week with two steps here and three steps there. But then last weekend when we were in Ohio (more on that later probably) Camryn really started walking for real! She just wants to do it all the time. She is still quite wobbly but she is getting better and better! So things are pretty exciting around here!

Then this is Camryn doing one of the things she loves best. Making silly noises of course!

10 Months Old!!!

My baby is growing to fast! I need her to slow down just a little! I'm not ready for her to turn a year old in just a few months! But Camryn is a lot of fun at this age! She just wants to walk so bad, and I think that in the next little bit she will be. She also had 4 teeth trying to come in across the top. Anyways, I guess it is going to happen whether I like it or not, Camryn is getting older.

The Host Book Signing

So this week I got to be an obsessive teenage girl...and it was an awful lot of fun!!! I was lucky enough to go to the book signing for the newly released sci-fi novel, The Host! This book is written by the same author that wrote the Twilight series, Stephenie Meyer. I love her novels and writing style so much that I just had to take this opportunity to meet her. I knew that if I didn't go I would regret it. Plus, how often do opportunities like this come along?! My mom was so sweet to me too. I was telling her last week how much I wanted to go and that I was going to go, but I didn't want to go by myself. So what does my mom do? Fly out just to go with me! I love her to death! Thanks for the great time mom!
The signing and discussion was at The Mall of America. There were SO MANY people there! Most of which were teenage girls, but there were a few teen boys, even more moms, and a mix of everything in between. It was really interesting to see who turned out.

So after waiting in line with my mom for a while, it was finally time for Stephenie to come out and talk to us! She seems so awesome! Very down to earth, quite funny, passionate about her writing and the characters of her books, and all around a very sweet person. It was a lot of fun to listen to her answer some questions about The Host, and even one about the Twilight movie coming out.
The picture above was actually taken after I had been through the line. I don't think I could stress enough just how many people were there. I'm guessing that Stephenie was probably there signing for 3+ hours! And they were moving people along quite quickly too!

So here I am just about to the front of the line! I was very excited!

Stephenie Meyer: Fabulous Author!

So after waiting quite a while and lots of standing, I finally got to meet Stephenie! It was really pretty cool and kinda strange to see this person that you've seen on TV and on the internet right there, in real life, in front of you.

So here is my book that she signed. She even made a comment like everyone else about how my name is so different, but that she liked it. Kinda funny!

All in all, it was a lot of fun to be apart of all the hype and excitement of a crowd of people that all share something in common that they love. Also, it was a lot of fun to be with my mom just one on one. Probably my favorite part of the whole thing was when Stephenie Meyer came out on stage, and everyone was clapping and screaming, and my mom screamed at the top of her lungs!!! It was a scream that would rival even the most hormone driven obsessed 15 year old out there! It was fantastic!!! I love my mom! She really is amazing!

See? You can tell how silly we got!

What a fun and great experience though! It was totally worth it and I would definitely do it again!

Ears Pierced!

We went and got Camryn's ears pierced on Saturday. She was such a trooper! She did cry, but since we were in a jewelry store it was easy to get her mind off of it. Anyways, I think that she is quite adorable with her earrings!

Doctor Who

So I have discovered a new show thanks to my brother Jeff. It is called Doctor Who, and it has been a part of British TV for quite a while actually. Anyway, it is a sci-fi show and an awful lot of fun! It is about an alien named "The Doctor" (pictured below) and he is a time lord. Pretty much meaning that he is a time traveler. He travels in his ship called the Tardis and goes to the past, the present, and the future. It is not for everyone... Paul thinks it is alright. He said it was to funny for sci-fi or something like that. But I love it! I think it is funny and brilliant! If you get a chance I think you should check it out! It is playing on the sci-fi channel on Fridays!
