Baby Its Cold Outside!

Bbbbbrrrrrrrr! It has been SO COLD! I have to say I'm quite surprised that we haven't all turned into popsicles! For the past couple of weeks we have been enduring subzero temperatures, and that isn't even counting the wind chill factor on top of that! Even Max hasn't been taking his time out side like usual. He is ready to come back in almost seconds after he has gone out!

This morning Camryn woke up early. Then after going to pick up Chase and Olivia, dropping Chase off at school, then coming back home, Camryn was apparently ready for a nap already! She just looked so cute and snuggly I had to take a picture. Also, I liked that she was still holding on to her toy! (Not done playing yet!) I sure am glad for snuggly warm things to put babies in! In this freezing weather I think that I would have to put a pile of blankets on her!

Well, today is supposed to be the start of a warm up. We will see... I'm kind of skeptical about it, since after all it is still January. It is supposed to get all the way up to 20 degrees today! I can't wait! Time to bust out the shorts!

First Snack

I gave Camryn her first little snack food today and the results were pretty hilarious! I gave her some of Gerber's Graduates Foods. They were little sweet potato puffs. (they looked like cereal to me) But Camryn had no idea what in the heck to do with them.

Break In...

Well yesterday my house got broken into. And... I watch the whole thing happen. After three bangs of the shoulder, Paul busted right through the door! Yes, it was Paul that broke into our house. What happened was that Paul grabbed the only set of keys that doesn't have a house key on it and locked the door as we headed to church. So when we got home he tried to unlock the door, but then Camryn started crying and we needed to get in quick! That is when Paul decided to just break down the door. And surprisingly enough, it wasn't that difficult. Kinda scary! So that has been our excitement in the last few days!

Austen and Masterpiece Theatre

Masterpiece Theatre has started a series of movies of Jane Austen's books and also a movie about Jane Austen herself. The first movie, Persuasion, aired last night. And I thought it was a good watch! I have to admit that I am quite the romantic at heart and a big fan of Jane Austen. So I hope that you will all be inspired to watch on Sundays along with me! (Lexi I know you are with me!) Here are some links to check out!

6 Months Old!

Can you believe it?! 6 months old already! I don't know where the time GOES!!! Well, Camryn is constantly growing and learning! It is so much fun to watch her discoveries. She focuses so hard sometimes, trying to get those hands and arms to work just right! As you can see from the pictures, Camryn is now sitting up and doing wonderfully at it! I think that she is liking it too as she has a new view of things to enjoy!
Camryn is also now experiencing the wonderful world of food. So far I have given her rice cereal (which she LOVES), peas (hates), and green beans (seems to like more and more). It is pretty fun to watch her facial expressions!

Camryn was done with pictures and well, pretty much everything.

Such a Christmas There Never Was

So, after going through my Christmas pictures, I realized that I really didn't have a lot of good ones to post on my blog! But I wanted to post some pictures anyways! So we spent Christmas morning at my sister Brittney's house! It was so fun to be with them and my parents! My little niece Rachel (2 yrs old) was so excited about everything! It was fun to be apart of her excitement. Camryn as you can imagine, didn't really know what was going on, but she did unwrap some presents with the help of her daddy. She was having a lot of fun with the paper!
You can't really tell in the picture, but Camryn and I actually had matching Christmas pajamas!

I think that it was still a little early for Paul... just kidding, he was having a good time too!My parents got me the start of a beautiful nativity set. I am so excited to display it next year, and to keep adding on new pieces! I already wrote a little bit about Christmas eve at Cammie's house, but here are some pictures of us all just hanging out. This was after Santa came to visit and the kids were having fun with there new toys! I love this picture! I love that my sisters and I all have little girls! Rachel was being so cute, she put her arms around Jane (10 mnths old) and Camryn (6 mnths old) so nicely! Then here we are with our little sweethearts! It was so great to see everyone and spend time with them. Despite all the awful hard parts (traveling with an infant and flight delays, lost luggage *twice* Camryn no longer sleeping through the night, only wanting to be held, etc etc etc) I would do it again in a heart beat! It isn't fun to be away from family, but it does make it pretty awesome and special when you do get to be with them.
